Fragrance House
Alfred d'Orsay was one of the key 'influencers' of his generation. Painter, Sculptor, Fashion Icon and Perfumer, he rubbed shoulders with the greatest minds and creators of his time: Lord Byron, Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo, George Sand, Charles Dickens and the future Emperor Napoleon III. He became director of the Beaux-Arts in Paris.
By the beginning of the 20th century, true to its origins, the House of D'ORSAY had surrounded itself with the finest artistic and artisan talents of the time. Jean Cocteau, Marie Laurencin and Georges Lepape designed its campaigns; Baccarat, Daum and Lalique created the wildest bottles. The House published nearly fifty perfumes and its creations were distributed throughout the world, some fragrances selling nearly 5 million bottles per year.
Like its namesake, the House of D'Orsay continues to re-invent itself, setting the creative benchmark by working exclusively with the greatest talents. This currently includes Perfumers Olivia Giacobetti, Mark Buxton, Karine Chevalier, Bertrand Duchaufour, Fanny Bal and Vincent Ricord.
