Former President of the British Society Of Perfumers, Ruth is a classically trained 'nose'  with over 25 years experience working with premium oils and essences. Whilst she has created fragrances for other houses, (notably the legendary 'Grapefruit' candle for Jo Malone that was so loved by Jennifer Lopez that she bought 300 of them so that every hotel room smelled like home!), Mastenbroek's eponymous collection use a composition technique based on Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, to blend notes harmoniously so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
