I have a rather eclectic mix for you this week. My first arrival was a really lovely, wooden, vegetable brush. As root veg is now trickling into the stores, and I have discovered that leaving the skins on virtually everything (not celeriac I have learned to my cost!) is so much nicer in terms of texture and taste, this arrived at the perfect time. A quick wash and brush-up and it's straight into the pot - I cooked chips with the skins on this week and they were utterly delicious! Much better nutritionally too. Our brush is made from sisal with a beech handle.
