The weather has suddenly warmed up and, in timely fashion, I have received a new book called 'The Salad Bowl'. I have brought a copy with me to France as cooking in this heat out of the question! I normally eat a lot of salads however these have become a little bit samey over the years and I wanted to be stimulated with fresh ideas. 'The Salad Bowl' is doing the trick with recipes that include fruit and veg, fish and shellfish, meat and poultry dishes plus some very interesting combinations of grains and pulses. I had puy lentils, grapefruit & feta cheese with harissa dressing last night and it was delicious!
