Another collection that has haunted my dreams since I discovered them at a London design show, comes from Peru. These hand-thrown, giant vases (around 40cm!) are inspired by traditional pre-Columbian vessels found in the area and are utterly magical. The clay is 'smoked' which turns it black and they are sculptural and impressive with the most striking silhouette. I own the design that looks like a huge egg and it displays beautifully in the Hove apartment. I only have 1 piece of each of these and it takes the artisans 6-8 weeks to make them, however it is always worth waiting for something this incredible!
