The classic Cod-Fish Decanter which famously gurgles when in use. The design was originally made by the Dartmouth Pottery of Stoke-On-Trent in the early part of the 20th century, however the gurgling jug actually dates back to the 1870's. My grandmother had one in the original dark green which she used as a vase so I have very fond memories of it, however this design icon has recently been re-invented for the 21st century in a myriad of contemporary hues. I have invested in six of the best - I prefer the lighter colours as they highlight the scale relief much better. It is lovely to witness the revival of a classic piece of British design history and I applaud the pottery who had the foresight and imagination to re-invent this beauty for a new generation.

Recommend that the jugs are washed by hand. They can be occasionally put in the dishwasher, however, frequent washing in the dishwasher may affect the glaze.
