Our timing was pretty good this week, as we took delivery of an order of ceramic Salad Bowls that are handmade for us in the South Of France! It is Spring after all !

It takes months, but they are well worth the wait. We named them Salad 'Wheel' Bowls, as they look like wheels of cheese when stacked on top of each other.

There are 3 sizes - absolutely enormous, large and medium. If you are going to display on a large piece of furniture, then the enormous bowl is a show stopper. For dinner the parties, the large will feed at least 6 guests, and for general home use and for those of us with a more modest kitchen, the medium is generous and capacious. The bowls are designed to be releatively wide and shallow, so that the good stuff doesn't fall to the bottom of the bowl!

The colours are the big draw here - turquoise/green/yellow/orange and pistachio.

It is very difficult to choose - the citrus colours have been our best sellers, in fact we have a waiting list for the yellow - as they make food pop, but they are all gorgeous, so it depends upon one's decor.

Again these bowls are not exclusively for salad and can be used for pasta/risotto/bread/fruit or what you will, so will
earn their place in your cupboard!
