I have been experimenting with silk flowers simply because fresh flowers in the winter are very expensive and Hydrangea heads are now £6 each which is insane! Silk flowers have also become very convincing to the point that it is impossible to tell the difference .
As silk flowers are displayed on a more permanent basis, the vases that contain them have to be a lot more interesting and unique so I have been on a mission of late to find something really striking that is a work of art in itself. These fit the bill perfectly - gorgeous, textured, architectural towers of glass inspired by the Manhattan skyline in glorious shades of emerald, claret and midnight blue, they lend themselves well to show-stopping structural arrangements of branches etc. They are also so beautiful that they work by themselves as object d'art or a very glamorous receptacle - I have one in the bathroom for soaps and sponges.
