The GD and I have recently purchased some white, marble, bedside tables which need protection from our morning beverage so we have also received some simple, square, marble coasters in white, which will do the job perfectly but not ruin the look. Unfortunately for my bank balance, while I was perusing these I discovered 'Forest Marble', an exquisite stone that is veined in muted tones and looks leaf-like. Sophisticated and glamorous, I had to have some for the shelves - again as square coasters.
