I have been trying to find a Lazy Susan for literally ten years! Although very popular in good Chinese restaurants, this revolving, serving tray which sits centrally on the dining table to deliver food to guests around the table, is actually a Western invention created by Thomas Jefferson for his daughter, the eponymous Susan! I have no idea why these are so difficult to find as they are fantastic at a dinner party to serves nibbles, cheese etc. I wanted it for vegetables as it is much easier merely to spin the turntable rather than keep passing dishes around the table however it is useful at any event, including family meals, where dishes are to be shared. I think that there should be a revival of this historic design and was thrilled to find one in brushed, black mango on our trip to Paris. Another quest finally realised and, let's face it, spinning food is fun!
