I do love marble - from coasters to furniture, our house is crammed with it and jolly lovely it is to rest one's wrists upon in this weather! We have seen the return of a collection of scented candles, housed in hand-hewn, lidded, marble jars that are stunning.
These timeless receptacles can be kept, after the candle has burned, for a variety of practical purposes. We use them for cotton wool in the bathroom and as a decorative change pot! They are gorgeous and, obviously, each one is unique. The scents are as follows:
Agave - Black Marble Jar - Amber/Patchouli/Musk
Mora - Cream Marble Jar - Soft Vanilla
Tonga - Grey Marble Jar - Pine/Citrus
Figure - Gingery Peach Marble Jar - Green Fig
At £37 these are a bargain as this is a sizeable piece of marble and beautifully carved. I also love the diversity of the scents as they will suit different rooms and seasons. I am wondering if they might be good for cheese ? It shouldn't be kept in the fridge as ruins the flavour but in these temperatures what choice is there? Perhaps marble jars in the pantry. I'll let you know!
