I recently switched from wool to bamboo socks as they are just as warm, breathable and much, much better for the environment. Bamboo will miraculously sprout on its own and one acre of bamboo will yield 10 times more than one acre of cotton. Cotton also needs harvesting and re-planting each year. Bamboo has always been grown without pesticides whereas non-organic cotton is estimated to use 25% of all chemical pesticides used globally on crops, which is scary.

I opened a parcel on Monday which contained a pair of sustainable bamboo boxers with a note from the designers inviting me to take them for a spin. I am completely hooked already - soft, comfortable, supportive, temperature regulating and anti-bacterial plus the colours are very stylish! The company also donate a percentage of sales to saving the Giant Panda so what's not to love - my undies will now help the planet and Panda Bears! My apologies if this is too much information for breakfast time!

Machine wash at 30-40°C (80-105°F) with like colours. Machine tumble drying not recommended.
