Set of 6 Absinthe Coasters
Absinthe drinking reached it's zenith during the bohemian period of French history. At the time every cafe and bar in paris served absinthe and countless poets and artists fell under the spell of the green fairy. These little saucers accompanied every glass; not only to place the drink on but also to keep tabs on how much was owed. Each saucer has a price painted on the top and a corresponding colour painted round the edge. After every drink the saucer is added to a stack and at the end of the night tallied up.
