Rigaud has been producing scented candles for more than half a century. Each candle is hand-poured twice to avoid any bubbles. When burning, the wax liquefies rapidly, releasing heavy fragrance even when the flame is extinguished. Rigaud candles burn evenly, without leaving any deposit on the glass and they do not tunnel, unlike hard wax candles.

PARFUMS RIGAUD is one of the world's oldest perfumers and dates back to the early 19th century when King Louis XVIII of France signed a decree giving the sole rights to the RIGAUD family for the manufacturing of a scented Macassar oil.

The RIGAUD candle was created in 1950 by Madame RIGAUD who had the original idea of scenting her shop on the  Champs Èlysèes with the family's fragrances. She combined Rigaud's perfumes with candle wax et voilà; the scented candle was born. Not much has changed since then, except today Rigaud candlers are recognised by those in the know as the best scented candles in the world, and they are still resplendent in their fabulous 1950's stylised packaging.

First Lady, and style icon, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy brought them into the White House; which she scented with Cypres. Could a candle be any more chic?
