Quite possibly the most exquisite mens fragrance ever. Certainly the original. Ever since it was launched, Pour un Homme has held a special place in the history of fragrance. Created in 1934, it was the first fragrance designed exclusively for men.
Unchanged since 1934 Pour un Homme still features that inimitable harmonization of the most beautiful Alpes de Provence lavenders on a base of vanilla, amber and precious wood.
The perfumier and chemist, Ernest Daltroff, founded the noble house of Caron in 1904. Shortly thereafter a chance encounter with Parisien seamstress, Felicie Wanpouille changed the course of perfume history. His intimate relationship with Wanpouille gave this extraordinary woman the opportunity to exercise her un-dreamed of and innate skills as a highly imaginative , innovative perfumer in her own right. Most of the Caron creations of the next fifty years were to be heavily influenced by her presence in Daltroff's personal and professional life.
