For over two centuries the name L.T. Piver has been synonymous with refined, original fragrances and expertly, elegant perfumes. From the court of Louis XVI through to the twenty-first century, L.T. Piver has successfully married the classic with the modern and tradition with the contemporary.
In Paris in 1774 dynamic perfumer Michael Adam opened his Parfumier: "A la Reine des Fleurs". The enterprising and entrepreneurial businessman soon became the official purveyor to the court of Louis XVI and subsequently to the royal families of Europe. Adams handed the thriving business over to his relative, Pierre Guillaume Dissey, in 1799 who was shortly succeeded by Louis Toussaint Piver who created the eponymous empire.
The L.T. Piver brand flourished and by the nineteenth century the company had over one hundred branches around the globe, including; England, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Russia and Brazil. In Paris, a number of shops were opened to cater to the company's growing clientèle, the most loyal of which included the Bonaparte family and in later years Sarah Bernard.
The House of L.T. Piver effected momentous change in the perfume industry with its extensive range of health and beauty products, including; perfumed gloves, face powders, soaps made with extract of lettuce and marsh mallow, almond body cream and iris body milk.
A rich and illustrious past, L.T. Piver fragrances continue today to evolve and to seduce a clientele, both male and female, with a very distinct perception of luxury; one that is primarily concerned with discretion, quiet elegance and assurance.
